Project: Re-Design

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting a gal who adores silver jewelry. I mean, really, is there a BETTER person for me to meet? Well, she had the unfortunate predicament of being burdened by a ring given to her by an ex that was just simply not her style. First, for her, it was too ornate. And it was Gold. It’s a beautiful ring, but not her style. If you can relate, then you’ve probably taken your own pieces to a pawn shop or one of those places with a huge “WE BUY GOLD” sign out front. If you’re still with me, then were you shocked at how little you were offered for your jewelery? Almost doesn’t seem worth selling if you knew what was paid for it, right? Another option – find a jeweler you trust and have them “re-design” your piece. That’s what I have the honor of doing for this lady . . . and I thought I would turn it into a little story for you to follow. So for now, here is the original ring, in it’s current state:

  1. Looking forward following the process and seeing the final product, Heidi. Have the two of you discussed what she wants done or is she letting you re-design it completely?

We did discuss the project ahead of time. As much as I love making jewelry, style is a very personal decision and I would never want to guess on what someone would like without them specifically asking me to do so! We went a few rounds of sketches between us and finally settled on a great ring! Can’t wait to show it off!

I know you will create the perfect ring for her. I can’t wait to follow the story !!
